OraCare has released OraPro, a toothpaste designed for exclusive distribution through dental practices. The product incorporates a new formulation that includes Micro Netting Technology (MNT), which the company describes as a microscopic net that removes plaque from areas that may be difficult to reach with conventional toothpaste.
According to OraCare, clinical data shows that OraPro reduces plaque 359% more effectively than standard over-the-counter (OTC) toothpaste. The company also reports that the toothpaste increases fluoride absorption by 209% compared to OTC brands, which it states may contribute to enhanced enamel strength.
OraCare says the formulation provides whitening results comparable to those of leading whitening toothpastes, while maintaining a lower relative dentin abrasivity (RDA) score of 88.
“OraPro isn’t just another toothpaste—it’s a leap forward in oral care,” says Robert Martino, DDS, CEO at OraCare. “We’ve had offices who love our OraCare rinse ask us when we are going to have a toothpaste, and we took our time because we wanted it to be different. We’re proud to finally offer a product that truly transforms the daily brushing experience.”
OraPro is the latest addition to the company's product line, which includes the OraCare Health Rinse. OraCare states that its rinse is a professional chlorhexidine alternative and notes it received the Cellerant Best of Class Hygiene Award in 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024.
OraPro is available exclusively through dental professionals. More information is available at www.OraProPaste.com.
