Oryx, a provider of cloud-based dental practice management software, and Overjet, a developer of artificial intelligence (AI) tools for dental care, have announced a new collaboration that brings Overjet’s FDA-cleared AI technology into Oryx’s software platform.
The integration enables dental professionals using Oryx to access Overjet’s AI capabilities directly within their existing workflows. The technology is designed to assist in the identification of conditions such as caries, calculus, bone loss, and periapical radiolucencies, as well as other anatomical features, supporting clinical assessments and patient communication.
“The dental industry is at the cusp of a SaaS tech revolution, with more dental offices realizing the benefits of cloud-based software,” said Rania Saleh, DDS, MSD, founder and CEO of Oryx. “Our partnership with Overjet brings powerful AI into our platform, helping dentists educate and treat patients more efficiently, without disrupting their workflow. Together, we’re not just improving practice efficiency—we’re shaping the future of dentistry.”
The integration aims to provide tools that support diagnosis and improve communication between providers and patients. Overjet reports that the ability to visually present findings to patients can support understanding and decision-making around treatment. According to a recent survey conducted by Overjet, 85% of patients indicated they were more likely to accept treatment when they could see visual representations of their conditions. Clinics using the AI tool reportedly experienced a 27% increase in case acceptance, on average.
“Our mission is to improve oral health for all, and from our earliest conversations, it was clear that Oryx shares that vision,” said Wardah Inam, founder and CEO of Overjet. “AI will soon be a core part of every clinical workflow. We’re proud to partner with a clinically driven team like Oryx to bring this future to life for more providers and patients.”
The Overjet integration is now available through the Oryx platform.
Joshua Prentice, DDS, owner and founder of Prentice Dental in Flower Mound, Texas, commented, “As a Kois Center graduate, I chose Oryx because it reflects the same commitment to evidence-based dentistry and clinical excellence. The ability to access Overjet’s AI insights directly within Oryx has been a game-changer for my practice. It’s made diagnostics more transparent for my patients and more efficient for my team.”
