WATERPIK™ has launched its “Gum Gains” campaign to promote the new WATERPIK™ PROMAX™ water flosser with SMARTADVANCE™ Mode, a feature designed to automatically increase water intensity over time. According to the company, the campaign connects oral health habits with a progressive fitness mindset and highlights the role of gradual progression in gum care.
The campaign is being promoted across social media platforms and includes content from Peloton® instructor Emma Lovewell, fitness influencers Ashley Nowe and Joey Bronston, and WATERPIK spokesperson Dr. Chris Strandburg, DDS. Participants in the campaign demonstrate how they incorporate the WATERPIK PROMAX water flosser into their daily wellness routines.
According to WATERPIK, many water flosser users remain at lower intensity settings rather than progressing to higher settings. The company said SMARTADVANCE Mode was developed to automatically and comfortably increase water intensity over time, guiding users toward what the company describes as an optimal cleaning setting.
“I teach progression in every class – you don’t sprint on Day 1,” said Emma Lovewell, Peloton instructor. “The same principle applies to gum health. The WATERPIK™ PROMAX™ with SMARTADVANCE™ Mode water flosser makes progression automatic, so you focus on consistency, not complexity. It’s been a game-changing addition to my oral care routine.”
According to the company, the WATERPIK PROMAX water flosser helps significantly reverse bleeding gums after six weeks when used daily with the Precision Tip at setting 9 in conjunction with toothbrushing. The company also stated that, based on data on file, most users who used the Precision Tip daily at setting 9 experienced less than 10% bleeding after six weeks. WATERPIK further reported that 93 of 104 survey participants said SMARTADVANCE Mode was comfortable to use.
The company said the device reaches areas that brushing and string floss may not access effectively and is intended to support gum health through progressive cleaning intensity.
“At WATERPIK™, we’ve spent time understanding the gap between what users do and what they need to do for optimal gum health. SMARTADVANCE™ Mode closes that gap by turning scientific progression into an effortless daily habit,” said Bart Prins, general manager at WATERPIK™. “This campaign, powered by voices who understand the value of progressive training, resonates with a generation that sees health as a practice, not just a product.”
“Oral health is inseparable from overall health,” said Dr. Chris Strandburg, DDS, WATERPIK spokesperson. “I’ve watched patients struggle with gum disease because they never pushed beyond initial comfort levels. SMARTADVANCE™ Mode eliminates that barrier –it’s like having a personal trainer for your gums.”
The WATERPIK PROMAX water flosser includes SMARTADVANCE Mode automatic water-intensity progression technology, QUIETPULSE™ noise-reduction technology, dual-user memory settings, a compact countertop design, five specialized flossing tips, and a digital LED control panel.
